In 1997, with almost 50 years’ experience of the manufacture of sausage casings made from collagen, Grupo Fibran established Edible Casings, S.L., (EDICAS) only a few kilometers from Fibran in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees.

Today, after years of product development and continuous research, Edicas produces a range of casings for uncooked sausage (“Breakfast Sausage”) as well as German-style smoked sausage.

Large calibre collagen casings are available from FIBRAN, the sister company of EDICAS.

Fispak Collagen CasingsEDICAS supplies a range of over 25 products, manufactured by a professional team of 60 workers in facilities with an area of 7.000 m2 located in Ripoll (Girona).

EDICAS casings have an inperceptable bite and wet out well when filled.

They are suitable for fresh and frozen sausages, withstanding grilling, shallow and deep fat frying and handling well, whether hand filled or used with semi- or fully automatic machinery.
