Introducing Indasia

Intro_Pic1SINCE TIME immemorial, spices have counted as being a part of nature’s treasures.  Today, they are taken for granted.  Improved cultivation, modern harvesting methods and reliable transportation possibilities bring spices from all over the world within everyone’s reach.

However, to get from the plant to the table still takes a lot of knowledge and expertise.

Most raw spices come to us from tropical or subtropical regions.  They must be carefully stored before the various stages of processing begin.

Only after the flowers, leaves, fruit, seeds, bark and roots have been cleaned, dried, crushed, finely ground and mixed are they then ready for the next stages depending on the spice compound that is to be prepared.

Indasia provides the knowledge and expertise to transform raw spices and seasonings into excellent ready-to-use products.

Indasia meticulously map out the product specifications for their suppliers of raw materials to help ensure that the Indasia  Company lives up to its motto:

“The basis of Good Flavour”

On arrival, all raw materials enter the “Quarantine Warehouse” and are only released for further preparation after a wide range of laboratory examinations.

Afterwards, any impurities are removed by sifting, and the spices are also sized.

Computer controlled mills grind the spices with liquid nitrogen at temperatures as low as -320° C. In this way, the highly volatile ethereal oils are preserved and so the spices retain up to a third more intensity.

In the powder departments, computer controlled mixing machines connected to silo plants guarantee the same recipe result from complex mixtures, time after time.

High technological mixing machines for liquid products guarantee perfect blends, as well as for liquid mixtures with precooked fresh vegetables, using a closed production system with no use of preservatives.

Intro_pic_3Powder mixtures are usually packed in air sealed bags from 10gms to 25kg while liquid mixtures with a weight up to 1.5kgs are packed in aluminium flexible packs and portions above that in buckets, cans, drums and bulk containers up to 1000kgs.

All completed products are quality controlled before they are either sent to store or despatched.

A modern wide-ranging ISO-quality security system controls processes and procedures to help guarantee the high quality of all Indasia products on a continual basis.
